Keynote Development
In spring 2009, Custom Electric’s contract to install the electric systems project for the Keynote Urban Village was well underway. Custom Electric is responsible for everything from voice and data cabling to power distribution and lighting. A first for Calgary, the concept for the Keystone development was to create a self-contained community. The urban village combined residential condos with an office tower, +15 gardens, upscale retail space and a two-story, 32,000 square-foot garden market.
The Keystone buildings include a 14-story office tower – and planned 26-story and 36-story, luxury condominium towers. Many of the people who work for the office tower’s main tenant live in the attached condos. Keynote is located in Calgary’s Beltline area. Custom Electric expects to complete the project on or ahead of its January 2010 deadline.
