Rockyview General Hospital

Custom Electric has completed two major projects for the Rockyview General Hospital with a third underway in May 2009. The first project was the addition of the Highwood Tower’s three new floors. The second was a complete retrofit of the Rockyview’s entire fire alarm and nurse call systems, plus replacing its emergency generators. The hospital’s upgraded fire alarm system, completed in 2009, is an addressable system capable of relaying information on the exact location of a fire – as specific as individual room number – to the system’s central control panel. In 2008, Custom Electric began installing the electrical and fire alarm systems in the hospital’s new five-story South Tower and parkade. This portion of the project is expected to be completed by the middle of 2010.

Throughout these projects, Custom Electric was able to minimize service disruption in the parts of the hospital where it was working, maintain safe access through its work areas and minimize noise.
